Aller Media is searching for an Application Integration Specialist for the implementation, management and development of their business systems.


Job description

The Nordic IT team at Aller Media is searching for an Application Specialist for support, optimization and development of one of their most important integration platforms with over 40 integrations to core systems and applications.

You will be part of a dedicated IT team and have a role, where you are responsible for the platform and its core integrations to Aller systems and external parties, its development and assist internal super-user colleagues working with the platform's inputs and outputs.

You will also troubleshoot the platform when necessary and be part of coordination and specification work. You have probably worked in a coordination role with business systems and you have experience with Biztalk integration platform and/or Scribe software. You have programming knowledge (e.g. in .NET, C#, etc.) and some knowledge of SQL and general file transfer protocols.

Daily work may involve setting new integrations with third parties or manage existing integrations and making changes according to business needs. It is important that you are self-motivated and you have the ability to see solutions rather than problems. The biggest challenge of the role is to understand the main integrations and develop them efficiently, while having a good understanding of the business logic and processes.


You will, for example:

  • Support end users in everyday use of the platform input and output files
  • Analyse and troubleshoot the main integrations
  • Work with time-critical integrations to e.g. payment and finance systems
  • Develop new features and implement change requests
  • Participate in relevant projects in the specification, implementation, testing and deployment phases
  • Document and report as needed
  • Develop internal and external collaboration around business systems environment.


We are looking for

We are looking for someone technical who has worked some years in a coordination role with business systems, for example as business consultant, system owner, application consultant or similar. If you also have worked with support, we see that as an asset. You also have hands-on experience in integration platforms, SW development and/or database handling. You probably have an IT educational background and you are curious about business processes.


You are fluent in English, spoken and written, and a big plus if you speak Danish/Swedish.


Personally, you are a fast learner and a team player that thrives in an environment where you work closely with your colleagues and partners. You take the initiative to ensure that you have all what you need to accomplish your tasks successfully. You keep calm and focused while working under pressure and you meet deadlines by objectively prioritizing, when you have many tasks on your table. A major challenge that will require good organizational skills is that there are many different activities on daily basis aimed to different stakeholders, all working in a Nordic level.


START: As soon as possible. This position will be filled as quickly as possible by the right candidate.
