We are daily supporting some of the biggest media brand websites in Denmark; Se & Hør, Billedbladet, Femina, Familie Journal, and many more.

We are working cloud-based, using AWS with Docker containers running in ECS-clusters. We are using PHP, Node.js, and Javascript as our main programming languages, currently working with Drupal, Laravel, and Nuxt.js.

We are currently, looking at establishing product teams together with the Danish business, and in that regard looking for talented people to join this journey into the future of Aller Media brand sites.

The team

The team currently consists of 8 people in total; 1 team lead, 1 tech lead, 2 developers, 1 trainee, and 3 external consultants. We value collaboration highly and together we are achieving the best results. We also value humor a lot and believe that there has to be room for a bit of fun.

As a department, we are part of the Aller IT organization, but in our daily work, we sit physically together with the Danish business, as they are our nearest collaborator. We are working with Programmatic, Data analysts, and business developers on a regular basis, always trying to seek better solutions.

We are working with both SCRUM and KANBAN, but in our own Aller way, which makes sense for us. As long as you know the basics of SCRUM and KANBAN, you will be quite settled – if you don’t, then we’ll teach you so do not hold back if everything else sounds interesting.

We are part of setting the agenda and also hold the responsibility for any technical maintenance.

Your immediate manager has a background as a web developer in the team and has great knowledge of the Danish Business in general.

Who are you?

You have 3+ years of experience working as a frontend web developer. You are self-driven and like to take responsibility and carry adversity with strength.

You have an easy way of communicating with non-tech people and know how to translate functional-based requirements into technical solutions.

You like to engage and are driven by improvement and the possibility to discuss solutions on a broader scale with many stakeholders.

You like to explore new technologies and frameworks and are not afraid of sticking your nose into something completely new and unknown.

We expect that you know these,

  • Node.js / Javascript (TypeScript, Nuxt.js, Vue)
  • HTML & CSS

And perhaps some of these,

  • PHP (Drupal, Symfony, Laravel)
  • AWS (Running cloud-based)
  • Docker (Containerized environments)
  • Cache solutions (ex. Varnish, Redis)
  • Solution architecture

What do we offer?

You will be working in a constantly evolving organization where no day is the same. We are always looking to move and improve the business, and tomorrow should always be a better version of today.

With us, you will be part of setting the future for one of the biggest media concerns in Denmark!

We have occupational pensions, subsidized massages, events, free fruit, and joint breakfasts. The office is located just beside Fisketorvet with a beautiful view out over the canal. Every second Friday we have a personal development day called “Hackday”, where it is completely free to look into new technologies and features, which could be beneficial for own education and development.
